Grow Native Plant Sale

MPF will hold a native plant sale on Saturday, May 18 at the Columbia Bass Pro Shops®, 3101 Bass Pro Dr, Columbia, MO 65202 from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. or sell out. Vendors donate a generous portion of proceeds to help MPF conserve vital pollinator habitat on its native prairies.

A variety of native wildflowers, sedges, grasses, trees and shrubs suitable for shade, partial shade, sun, dry or moist conditions from Missouri Wildflowers Nursery, Gaylena's Garden, Claire's Garden, Prairie Hill Farm, Ozark Soul, SunRise Gardens, Pure Air Natives, and Hawthorn NPS vendors will be available. This is a great opportunity to buy native plants that will look great in your home landscape and will provide essential habitat for native pollinators and birds. Many species of plants—both host and nectar plants—for pollinators, including monarch butterflies will be available.

Monarch & Pollinator Fest

Flit, fly and celebrate monarch butterflies at this event, where you can pick up a butterfly passport, learn about the life cycle of a monarch, buy native plants to attract pollinators, and enjoy kids’ crafts, food trucks, music and more. The Weldon Spring Site was once home to old TNT, DNT and uranium ore processing facilities and has been restored to native prairie.
