Canada Wildrye (Elymus canadensis) is an intermediate height cool season, perennial bunch grass found in much of the United States.

• Establishes quickly and can tolerant some shade
• Often found along streambanks, ditches, and in prairies.
• Provides food and cover for wildlife.
• Grows 3-4 ft.
• Can be used as a native cover crop as it will often be outcompeted by other grasses and wildflowers over time.
• Sharp awns can cause injury to grazing animals and pets.
