Shining Bluestar (Amsonia illustris), also known as Ozark Bluestar, is a native perennial of the dogbane family with clusters of star-shaped, light blue flowers.

  • This variety shows off its color for months with early blooms and leaves that turn in autumn.
  • It usually reaches 2-3 feet tall, but has been known to grow higher in optimal conditions and keeps a shrub-like form.
